EVIDENCE · VALIDATION

Separate internal evidence, independent review and formal certification.

IYABOKO treats validation as an evidence discipline. Internal evaluation can support development and readiness, while independent review and formal certification remain distinct when external competence, independence or regulatory authority is required.

Validation Structure

Different kinds of evidence support different levels of confidence.

IYABOKO distinguishes between evidence created internally, repeatable technical evaluation, comparative benchmarking, independent review and formal external certification.

Internal

Internal Evidence

Structured tests, reports, simulations and technical records generated within the development process.

Repeatability

Repeatable Evaluation

Methods, inputs and outputs should be sufficiently defined for relevant tests or evaluations to be repeated.

Comparison

Comparative Benchmarking

Compare defined capabilities against relevant baselines using explicit methods and limitations.

External

Independent Review

Use appropriately qualified external reviewers when independent scrutiny is required.

Certification

Certification Boundary

Formal certification remains separate where recognised standards, regulators or authorised bodies apply.

Public

Public Evidence

Publish suitable claims, evidence status, limitations and review context where appropriate.

Validation Pathway

Claim → Method → Evidence → Repeat → Review → Publish.

A credible validation pathway keeps the claim, method, evidence and limitations connected.

01 Claim Define exactly what is being asserted.
02 Method Define how the claim will be evaluated.
03 Evidence Capture results and relevant artefacts.
04 Repeat Check repeatability where appropriate.
05 Review Apply internal or external review as required.
06 Publish State results and limitations accurately.
Evidence Levels

Do not collapse every evidence level into the word “validated”.

Clear evidence language protects credibility. A demonstration, internal test, independent review and formal certification are not interchangeable.

01

Demonstrated

A defined behaviour has been shown under stated demo or test conditions.

02

Internally Evaluated

The system has undergone documented internal testing or assessment.

03

Independently Reviewed

A qualified external party has actually reviewed the relevant evidence or method.

04

Formally Certified

A recognised certification or regulatory process has been completed where applicable.

Validation Boundary

A useful demonstration is evidence, but it is not automatically production proof.

Demonstrations, simulations and internal tests can provide valuable evidence. They should not be presented as independent validation, production qualification, regulatory approval or formal certification unless those steps have actually occurred.

Demonstration

Demo ≠ Production Proof

A successful controlled demonstration shows behaviour under the conditions actually tested.

Independence

Independent Means Independent

Independent validation should only be claimed when an appropriately qualified external party actually performed it.

Certification

Certification Is Separate

Internal evidence or external review does not automatically create formal certification or regulatory approval.

Strengthen The Evidence

Build claims that stay aligned with the evidence behind them.

Explore public evidence, demonstrations, governance and independent review pathways for technology claims that require stronger credibility.

Public demonstrations are simulation environments unless explicitly stated otherwise. IYABOKO supports research, computational analysis, evidence organisation, readiness assessment, simulation, engineering and software/hardware prototype pathways. Internal testing, demonstration or readiness review does not by itself establish independent validation, certification, regulatory approval or production qualification. Computational intelligence informs authority; it does not replace accountable Human Authority.
